Fall In Love With Mass!

I could be at the most boring event - but when my husband walks in, everything is better. We smile at each other and endure the bad conversation, milk-toast music, and underwhelming atmosphere together. Afterward we might laugh, "ugh, that speaker was dull!" - but having weathered the event together, it is still a successful evening - and in some way it brings us closer as friends. Suffering does that.
In kind, even when the Priest's homily is boring - Mass is exciting. Even when the Mass is in a language I don't know - Mass is exciting. And when the Homily and music are wonderful - Mass is un-boring - and exciting. Why? Because Jesus is there. And when I am in the same room with Him, looking at Him, listening to Him, sharing a meal with Him, knowing He is suffering for me, with me... Mass is exciting. And having weathered the Mass together, knowing how He suffered and still suffers for my sins, but wanted to listen to me list them anyway, --knowing that I might have been bored by the homily, but wanting me to hear the Readings and feel them differently today --knowing that He was holding me close with compassion as I prayed for things that make me sad, and uplifting me with hope for things I'm rooting for...Mass was exciting. He is vulnerable on the cross, and humble in the Eucharist. Even when the room is boring, Mass is exciting when you are with the one you love, Jesus. And it brings you closer as friends.
Jesus already loves you deeply. The more you are in the same room as Him, at Adoration and at Mass, the closer you become with Him. When you fall in love with Jesus, you will never want to miss, and will fall in love with, Mass. Attending Mass sitting next to your husband who squeezes your hand when the singer is off key, and now that he has your hand you can't whack his arm - well that's perfect.

during Mass, at the Consecration, the Host - the bread the Priest is holding,
really, truly, BECOMES the actual Jesus.
Many have tried to prove the Catholic Church (and Jesus) wrong. Funny thing though...every time scientists put a Consecrated Host under a microscope - disrespectful as it is - they see living heart muscle - type AB blood - and much more. Hosts that have bled (Jesus revealing Himself), still exist in several churches around the world still fresh blood/tissue. Why would God have stopped doing miracles years ago?

22* The next day, the crowd that remained across the sea saw that there had been only one boat there, and that Jesus had not gone along with his disciples in the boat, but only his disciples had left.

62What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?*
63It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh* is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
64But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.c
65And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.”
66As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.
